The Socomec global headquarters is located in Benfeld, France. You would be joining a team of over 3,200 employees, supported by 9 manufacturing locations around the world. The US headquarters is located in Watertown, MA, with another location in Livermore, CA.

 Position Summary

This full time position is for a Commercial Assistant responsible for both technical sales and commercial support across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 



1. Order Processing and invoicing (50% of time)

  • Registering sales orders: manage accounts and distributors activity in conjunction with account reps
  • Prioritization of shipments
  • Managing orders including Expeditor warehouse, SICON, SUKE
  • Liaison with factory and headquarters personnel
  • Invoicing customer orders with Warehouse and Benfeld
  • Re-invoicing online for special customer portals
  • Assist Business and Finance Manager with invoice queries and collections


 



2. Customer Service (30% of time)

  • Efficient and professional response to all customer requests
  • Create and disseminate quotations for Area Sales Managers
  • Check stock availability and inventory levels
  • Order processing and communication with customers for order acknowledgement
  • Assisting with administration of customer returns
  • Dealing with relevant customer service actions forms
  • Follow up quotes


 



3. General (20% of time)

  • Assisting with accounts, technical support queries
  • Supporting Area Sales Managers with operational and administrative tasks as needed
  • Organization of business trips (flights/hotel/car reservations and appointments)
  • Assist with other activities consistent with the role of Customer Service Assistant
  • Special projects as requested
  • Ordering general office supplies



 Benefits :

  • Socomec pays 80% of employee health, vision and dental benefits up to a cap, currently that cap is approximately $590 for an individual and $1,840 for a family.  Health benefits become effective on your date of hire.
  • Socomec matches up to 5% of the employee 401K contribution.  Employees may enroll in the 401K plan after receipt of their first paycheck (i.e. after two weeks), there is no vesting period.
  • Socomec provides our employees an additional 5% Profit sharing contribution annually into employees 401K plans (typically paid out in March for all employees active on 12/31 of the prior year)
  • Socomec offers 11 paid company holidays
  • Socomec offers all employees 3 weeks PTO (pro-rated from the start date) which accrues on a monthly basis
  • Socomec offers 1 week of paid sick time.

Microsoft Office knowledge with emphasis on EXCEL, Word and Outlook

SALARY & BENEFITS
