Our business is the development, manufacture and sale of equipment and solutions used in the control and protection of low voltage electrical networks. As an independent business, we have a long-term vision and complete control of any decisions affecting our development, reinvesting more than 10% of our sales in R&D.

Our aim is to foster a respectful approach to individuals and cultures, to encourage initiative and commitment from personnel.

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for the West Coast States, the territory currently includes Southern CA, AZ, UT, CO, South NV. West Coast States may end up being broader than what is stated depending on location of candidate.  We are not considering relocation or sponsorship at this time.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Sales & Commercial

  • Daily area management and development of existing or potential direct accounts, indirect accounts, distributors and new customer prospecting
  • Develop and support business through existing and future partner relationships
  • Commercial management and support to Area Sales Engineer (if applicable)
  • Regional development of key/large existing and potential customers
  • Development and maintenance of Regional Commercial Action Plans
  • Preparation of commercial offers
  • Liaise with North American central office in Cambridge for project pricing support
  • Development and support of target segments (HVAC, Solar, etc.)
  • Requested minimum of 18 trips outside home base
  • One trip to Europe for training and/or customer visits

Technical Support

  • Field based production and application technical sales support and promotion
  • Higher level technical support and coaching to Area Sales Engineer (if applicable)
  • Technical presentations
  • Liaison directly with HQ in France


  • Assisting with market data pricing analysis and positioning
  • Assisting with product support, launch and marketing
  • Operational marketing and commercial activities (specification, seminars, training)
  • Identification and development of potential new market segments


  • Daily management, support and coaching of Area Sales Engineer (if applicable)
  • Area/Region Business and Commercial Action Plans
  • Development and maintenance of company support tools (ex, CRM package)
  • Conduct periodic Individual Commercial Reviews (ICR) and Annual Individual Personal Reviews (IPR) appraisal with Area Sales Engineer (if applicable)
  • Development of higher level contacts and relationships with customer base
  • Contribute and support Sales Meetings with materials and presentation


Profil requis

Education & Background:

  • Background in Engineering (Electrical is preferred, mechanical could be accepted)
  • At least 5 years experience with technical product or in regional sales

Skills/aptitudes: open minded, good interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, persuasive.

This position may be home based with travel to the areas of responsibility.

Customer Relationship Management is a very important qualitative criteria of evaluation. Therefore, the Area Sales Manager must bring the database of his area to the best possible level (new accounts, potential of customers, segmentation, and prospects to be visited).
